How much does a Colossal Gram cost?

A Colossal Gram is affordably priced at $20.95 plus shipping. When ordering via our website Order page you will see the FedEx and UPS shipping option costs in order to make a shipping method choice. Shipping costs are determined by the destination ZIP code and by your selection of courier and service level. Each Colossal Gram package is considered a 3 lb package by the couriers due to their dimensional weight (dim wt) rules.

How do I pay for my Colossal Gram?

We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and PayPal. If you wish to send a check in advance with your order, we will ship upon receipt or on your specified future ship date. We will invoice business customers after credit is established.

If I order online is a PayPal account required?

No. We use PayPal for credit card processing of your purchase. If you have a PayPal account, you can use it to make purchases. If you do not have a PayPal account you may checkout via PayPal as a guest, no account is required.

Do you offer quantity discounts?

Yes. If you order 5 or more Colossal Grams at the same time we offer a discount. As the quantity increases, so does the discount. Please Contact us via Phone, Email or Fax for specific information regarding quantity pricing.

If you wish to order a quantity of 5 or more at the same time, we prefer that you Contact us in order to receive the message and destination information in the easiest possible way for you and us. (ie. via email, spreadsheet, Word doc, etc.)

Do you offer charitable organizations a discount?

Yes. We offer charitable organizations what we call a “501C3 discount” of 15% from the Colossal Gram price of $20.95. The discount applies when the Colossal Gram is sent on behalf of the organization. Standard shipping charges will apply. Please provide your organizations website address so that we are able to verify the charitable status of your organization.

If you place an order via our Order page we will refund the amount of the discount once we have verified the charitable status of your organization.

How BIG is a Colossal Gram?

We like to describe a Colossal Gram as measuring “nearly 5 feet high by 7 feet wide”. The exact measurements are 54 inches by 76 inches.

Are you able to send messages in foreign languages?

Yes, we can do that. We can do this as long as the characters are part of the English alphabet. We are also able to include special marks like: accent, tilde, umlaut, etc. We do not translate but will replicate the message which you provide to us. If you order via our website Order page you must include directions regarding the special marks in the “Message, Shipment & Shipping Label Instructions” text box.

What colors are available for a Colossal Gram?

Colossal Grams are available in Yellow or Pink. During the December holiday season we offer a special design which features a colorful red and green holly border on a white background. The logo at the top says “Holiday Gram” in place of “Colossal Gram”. Please see the pictures on our Examples page to see the various styles.

What if I wish to remain an anonymous sender?

Occasionally senders wish to remain anonymous. We will honor your request if you tell us at the time order is placed. If the recipient were to call and ask who sent the Colossal Gram we will respond that the sender wished to remain anonymous.

Is the Colossal Gram suitable for outside use?

Colossal Grams are made of heavyweight paper allowing them to be hung outdoors, but they are not waterproof. Some recipients have hung them on garage doors or porches, weather permitting.

What are your business hours?

Our normal business hours are 9:30 am to 4:30 pm (Central Time Zone), Monday through Friday. On the week-end we will monitor our emails and voicemails but we do not ship Colossal Gram’s on Saturday or Sunday.

How much can I say on the Colossal Gram?

The maximum amount of space available is 6 lines with a total of 23 characters, spaces and punctuation marks across each line. You can say as little or as much as you would like within those parameters. We do not charge “by the letter” for your message.

If you place an order with a message of less than 6 lines, during production we will space the lines appropriately.

Can I request a different font or font size?

We have one standard font which was specially designed for Colossal Gram. It is only available in a height of 4 inches. Examples can be seen on the many pictures throughout our website and an enlarged picture of the actual font from a Colossal Gram is shown below.

Can I say anything I want?

Almost. We will print almost anything, but we reserve the right to refuse to accept a message which in our opinion is inappropriate. A Colossal Gram is a perfect way to celebrate any special occasion, business or personal, in a positive BIG way.

If I need help with my message, will you assist me?

Yes. We do recommend that our customers compose their own message. There are many different ways to see message examples on our website. Please view the pictures which are shown on our Examples page. When I order, how soon can a Colossal Gram be shipped?

All Colossal Grams are shipped Monday through Friday. Orders for single Colossal Grams received by noon (Central Time) can usually ship that day. Processing time for multiple Colossal Grams will be determined on an individual basis depending on the number of Colossal Grams and the length of the message. If I choose UPS Ground for shipping, how long will it take to arrive?

We are located in the Chicago area. UPS Ground will take from 1 to 5 business days (not including the day of shipment, Saturday or Sunday) depending how far the destination is from Grayslake, IL. Click to view a UPS estimated delivery timing map from ZIP Code 60030.

What is the difference between FedEx “Priority Overnight” and “Standard Overnight”?

A direct quote from the FedEx website explains:

“With FedEx Priority Overnight, your shipment will arrive by 10:30 a.m. to most U.S. addresses. Have a little more time? Choose FedEx Standard Overnight for delivery by 3 p.m. to most addresses, and by 8 p.m. to residences. Pick the service that works best for you — and your recipient.“
Delivery of FedEx Priority Overnight or Standard Overnight packages that are shipped on a Friday will be scheduled for delivery on the next business day, Monday. (If Monday is a holiday then delivery would be on Tuesday, etc.)

Is it possible to guarantee a specific delivery date or time?

Specific day of delivery is available by selecting FedEx Priority Overnight or FedEx Standard Overnight service. It is not possible to guarantee a precise delivery time. Certain FedEx services specify a time by which they guarantee delivery. We follow the guidelines set by FedEx or UPS regarding commitment times for delivery of packages. Please see our Order page for additional shipping information.

Do you send to APO and FPO military address?

Yes! We will happily send a Colossal Gram to a service member with an APO or FPO address via the US mail. Please contact us directly via phone or email to place this type of order. Our web order page is limited to shipping via UPS or FedEx.

Is delivery available on weekends?

Saturday delivery is available via FedEx Priority Overnight service to most U.S. locations at an additional charge. Please Contact us via Phone, Email or Fax for specific details including additional costs. UPS will deliver on Saturday’s, at their discretion, to residential delivery addresses.

How far in advance can I order a Colossal Gram for future delivery?

We are happy to accept orders at any time for future deliveries. We will schedule the ship date to accommodate your specific delivery request. If you order from our website Order page please specify your requested “Deliver by” date in the Special Instructions field named “Specify Deliver By date if time sensitive”.

Is it possible to send a Colossal Gram to a destination outside the United States?

Yes. We routinely ship to Canada and many foreign countries. If you are shipping to destination in the United States or Canada you may process your order on our website Order page. If you wish to send to a different country please Contact us to request a shipping quotation.

How is the Colossal Gram packaged for shipping?

Each Colossal Gram is folded and put into a huge cardboard box or envelope which measures approximately 17 inch by 21 inches. The shipping package is too large to fit into a mailbox and will generally left by the delivery driver in an appropriate area as determined by the delivery driver.

What if no one is home to receive the Colossal Gram?

FedEx and UPS do not require a signature for a package delivered to a residential address. The package will be left in the best safe location that the delivery driver determines at the destination address. The decision is entirely up to the discretion of the respective courier driver.

Why is there a surcharge for residential delivery of a Colossal Gram?

Both UPS and FedEx charge an additional amount for residential delivery. When you enter the destination address you are asked to choose whether the address is a residential or commercial address. If you mistakenly choose the wrong designation and the carrier later charges us for a residential delivery, we reserve the right to charge that cost back to you. (FYI, each carrier considers a business within a home as a residential address and subject to the residential delivery surcharge.)
